Mobile Applications
While Caret is a Mac application, you can still record from mobile applications by:
- Connecting your mobile device to your Mac
- Using screen mirroring (like QuickTime Player or AirPlay)
- Recording the system audio with Caret
This works for applications like:
- Mobile versions of Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Signal
- FaceTime
- Any other mobile communication app
When recording from mobile applications via screen mirroring, you may need to adjust your audio settings to ensure Caret can capture the sound.
Unsupported Scenarios
While Caret works with most applications, there are some limitations:
- Applications that use custom audio drivers that bypass macOS system audio
- DRM-protected content with audio protection
- Some screen sharing scenarios where audio is intentionally blocked
If you encounter an application that doesn’t work with Caret, please contact our support team with details.
